Trial Lawyers & Health Care Professionals Working to Prevent Distracted Driving – EndDD.org

Comments Off

Trial lawyers working with EndDD.org speaking with teens about distracted driving are being joined by heath care professionals across the country. The EndDD.org presentation was created with the help of physicians and researchers at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia and it is a natural partnership for trial lawyers and physicians to work together to keep our teens safe when it comes to distracted driving. Physicians and trial lawyers know all too well the consequences of distracted driving. Most recently, the Injury Prevention Coordinator for Borgess Trauma Services in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Morgan Robinson, and her team completed a video that the hospital is using in connection with its distracted driving initiative in the community. Morgan has used the EndDD.org presentation in giving more than 10 presentations over the last several months and has many more scheduled. Morgan has been working with trial lawyer Nolan Atkinson from the Church Wyble law firm in Lansing, Michigan . In the video that Borgess produced , Medical Director Dr. Tom Rohs , talks about how important it is to repeat the message-it is not a message that can be given only once . I look forward to more and more trial lawyers and physicians working together continually reminding teens and adults in their communities about the dangers of distracted driving.

Joel Feldman is a partner at the Philadelphia law firm of Anapol Schwartz where he has practiced for more than 30 years. He created EndDD.org. following the death of his daughter Casey by a distracted driver. Joel will be getting his masters in counseling in May of 2013 and combines law and counseling in his practice and speaks frequently about issues of grief and loss, compassionate lawyering and works through the Casey Feldman Foundation with lawyers and other professionals across the country to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving.
