David Carney joined Anapol, Schwartz, Weiss, Cohan, Feldman & Smalley, P.C. in September 2010 and focuses his practice in medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, dram shop, vaccine injury compensation, mass torts, class actions, asbestos and mesothelioma and other personal injury matters.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as a judicial law clerk intern to the Honorable Allan L. Tereshko in the First Judicial District in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, Civil Trial Division, regularly performing research and writing in connection with civil matters pending before the court. David joined Anapol, Schwartz, Weiss, Cohan, Feldman & Smalley, P.C. serving as a law clerk for one year before joining the firm as an associate.
David earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 2007 while also earning a minor in Business Law. He received his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 2010 where he was a recipient of the Widener Scholar scholarship. While in law school, David was a member of The Widener Law Review for two years and served on the editorial board during his third year.
Currently, David is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Philadelphia Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
