A Stryker hip recall affecting the metal-on-metal Rejuvenate and ABG II hip implant models was issued in July 2012. The company initiated the recall in response to the potential risk of fretting and corrosion caused by the metal components grinding together. This may result in adverse local tissue reactions as well as pain and swelling at or around the hip. A number of patients were diagnosed with metallosis caused by metal debris in their bloodstream.
Patients who required a revision and filed a Stryker hip lawsuit will receive a base award of $300,000 under the Stryker hip replacement lawsuit settlement, which was announced on November 3, 2014.
Individuals make be eligible to seek justice if they experience hip implant failure and require revision surgery after November 2.
Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II implant recipients who undergo revision surgery after November 2, 2014 can seek compensation by filing a Stryker hip lawsuit. hi I had orthognatic surgery (double jaw) done on february 20th of this year and have since had to receive two revision surgeries because of infection around plates manufactured by Styker. Any advice or information on how I might go about this? Do I have a case at all?
