Boulder Valley School District’s Adult Education Program is offering a lecture for parents with young drivers titled “End Distracted Driving: Keeping Your Kids Safe”
This hour long presentation at Fairview High is free to adults young and old. The Hour long session will take place from 7:00-8:00 pm on Thursday May 10th.
This lecture, given by Joel Feldman and Dianne Anderson, of the Casey Feldman Foundation, will give parents a look at the truths and misconceptions of teen driving habits. Parents will gain advice on how to talk to their teens about distracted driving, and receive some valuable resources that will help their teens make their own decisions and form their own safe driving habits, and how to speak up when they are the passenger of a distracted driver.
Joel Feldman and his wife Dianne Anderson lost their daughter, Casey to a distracted driver in July 2009. They have since gone on to create to Casey Feldman Foundation, and its partner site, EndDD.org to educate America, especially young people on the dangers of distracted driving. Joel and his colleagues have presented to hundreds of students across the country last month in recognition of Distracted Driving Awareness Month.
